University of Bamenda (Cameroon) – Tenders Board Gets New President

The University of Bamenda Tenders Board now has a new president. John William Minang was commission into his new function on interim basis march 23rd by the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Teaching, Professionalization and development of Information and Communication Technologies in The University of Bamenda, Professor Suh Cheo Emmanuel on behalf of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Theresia Nkuo- Akenji who was unavoidably absent.

In his installation speech, Professor Suh Cheo Emmanuel urged the new internal tender’s board president to ensure the growth of the University by making sure that the University does not lose money and to work as a team while piloting the affairs of his new function.” We urge you to work diligently and avoid the delay of files, a phenomenon that has caused the University to lose funds in the past, thus slowing down the development of the University. Let the decree of 2018 on the public contracts code be your main instrument” he said.

Shortly after his installation, the new UBa Tender’s Board president, John William Minang said he is aware of the task that awaits him in his new function. He equally stated that his goal will be to see that any contract coming into the university is well executed for the interest of the university. “Any project for the university shall be scrupulously followed for prompt execution. Only lack of means shall slow down any project destined for this university. We shall do everything needful to see that projects go ahead”
