Ghana (Kumasi Technical University) KsTU Signs MoU with Ghana National Association of Garages to Improve the Automobile Industry

Kumasi Technical University (KsTU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ghana National Association of Garages (GNAG) to transfer knowledge in technology to help develop the automobile industry in the country.

As part of the collaboration, members of GNAG would be trained in the theoretical aspect of what they were already engaged in at their various workplaces. They will be certificated after going through the developed short courses.

At a short ceremony on 13th October 2022, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Prof. Robert Dery Nagre stated that KsTU with the aid of the AVIC workshop, members from GNAG will receive the requisite training. The University, he added is interested in making engineering very practical and relevant to the Ghanaian society and beyond hence the need for such collaborations.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof Gabriel Dwomoh, after signing the MoU on behalf of the University, expressed delight over the two entities coming together to collaborate. He pointed out that the automobile industry is one of the biggest in Ghana and ranked fifth for the most attractive market in Sub-Saharan Africa.
