Egypt (Egypt-Japan) E-JUST President honors the university students who won sports championships

Prof. Amr Adly, President of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology honored the university’s students who won sports championships. The student, Seif El-Din Hossam Khalaf from the School of International Business was honored for winning the Republic’s Championship in El Alamein Open Rowing competition ranking 2nd place in the quadruple light weight double paddle under 23 years old. Habiba Amr Khafaga from the Computer Science and Information Technology program was also commemorated for winning the Republic’s Championship in El Alamein Open Rowing Competition ranking 2nd in a quadruple without a rudder for women under 19 years old, and 3rd in an advanced quadruple without a rudder for women. Marwan Ahmed Hamed Al-Baili, also enrolled in the Computer Science and Information Technology program, was honored for winning 2nd place in the Republic’s Championship in El Alamein Open Rowing in the light weight double paddle under 23 years old. University students who participated in the Alexandria Regional Championship and achieved advanced positions were also honored. Marwan Magdy Azzam, enrolled in the Computer Science and Information Technology program won 3rd place in swimming in the 100m freestyle, 3rd place in the 100m butterfly, and 3rd place in the 50m butterfly. Marwan Amr Ibrahim, from the School of International Business, won 3rd place in the same competition in the 1500m freestyle along the coast of Alexandria. Islam Maged Mohamed, enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering, won 2nd place in the 100m finswimming competition. Hassan Essam Hassan, also enrolled in the Faculty of Engineering, won 1st place in the 50m mono underwater finswimming competition, 2nd place in the 50m mono, and 3rd place repeat in the 50m relay. Marwan Ahmed Abdel-Mohaymen, enrolled in the Computer Science and Information Technology program, won 3rd place in the 400m running competition. Prof. Amr Adly stated that the university is keen to support student activities for their role in building student personality and character. The university is also interested in nurturing and encouraging students who excel in sports, motivating them to participate in competitions to develop their skills. Prof. Amr pointed out that the university has sports fields, a swimming pool, training areas and distinguished trainers. He expressed his pride in the university students who were honored with numerous advanced positions in sports championships. The honoring was attended by Dr. Hatem Mahmoud, supervisor of student activities at E-JUST.
