Ghana (Bluecrest University College) 18th BlueCrest graduation ceremony

BlueCrest University College held its 18th graduation ceremony under the theme “The Role of Higher Education in Creating Employment Opportunities for the Youth” at the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons on November 19th, 2022.

The graduation ceremony hosted government officials and other high-profile personalities together with proud faculty, parents, and friends. Dr. Sujith Jayaprakash, president of the college, addressed the audience and commended the students for their efforts. In keeping with the theme, the rector stated that to generate graduates driven by the job market, educational institutions must adapt their curricula to match current developments in the global market. Dr. Jayaprakash averred that it was for this reason that the college had built educational philosophies that promoted the development of students’ lateral thinking by developing them to become economic pillars.

He stated, “We as an institution are proud and take satisfaction in our approach to education, where teaching and learning are founded on the foundation of fostering the leadership, innovative, technological, and entrepreneurial skills of students to become industry-ready and who will not only acquire jobs but also create jobs and drive the developmental agenda of the respective countries they are from.”

The keynote speaker for the event, Hon. Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, a physician and Member of Parliament for the Klottey Korle Constituency, implored students to maintain their integrity and remember the purpose behind each choice they make. She urged them to seize life’s opportunities and let professional ethics guide them.

The event also witnessed a briefing session with Josephine Offei, Executive Director of Corporate Culture Africa on the significance of professional ethics and soft skills in order to succeed in the real world.

Ms. Offei discussed the company’s collaboration with BlueCrest University College and announced the forthcoming boot camp session, which BlueCrest graduates and students can attend for free.
